This Wikipedia page goes into detail on viral marketing. Viral marketing is defined as "a business strategy that uses existing social networks to promote a product." This type of marketing has taken over as our societies eyes are constantly glued on the internet and social media sites. Although for project 3 our genres don't have to be "viral;" it is important to properly market our ideas within the community. Within the methods section of this page, readers are given advice in order for our campaign to succeed. The list consists of:

1) It must be appealing to most of the audience

2) It must be worth sharing with friends and family

3) It must be spread on a large platform

4) The content must be good quality

Although my genres don't need to go viral, I am still striving to hit all four of these checkpoints. The most important thing for me is to make everything very quality. Next, I plan to use Instagram to spread my message on a large platform. Doing this will allow my message to reach the most people possible.

Overall, having a better understanding on the concept of viral marketing will definitely help me as I create me three genres for part 3.
